A baby squirrel sits on the shoulder of Alie Kesseler, 13, in Clear Lake Shores, Texas, who named the squirrel Ike in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. The squirrel was rescued from a nest by workers with Centerpoint Energy and given to a group of girls who in turn brought it to Kesseler, known around the island for her care of animals.
